Thanks for this great video. I love Jon Stewart. I think it’s interesting that it took the retired General five minutes to say that the character he’s talking about is based on empathy. We need to get empathy and character linked in the first 30 seconds of any conversation. That’s our challenge.
Agreed…and that’s very, very, unfortunate. But as a veteran myself, I am telling you this is a big deal. Hearing a general or flag officer say empathy is about as rare as Navy SEALS saying no to a movie offer. 65 percent of the military community (active, guard, reserve, veteran) voted for Golf Cart Grimace. Veterans are very much a part of our citizenry who doesn’t mind the government’s new death ray because they haven’t been hit by it…yet. McChrystal is a bit of an outlier. Always has been. Hopefully he and Milley continue to gain momentum. It would also be helpful if Biden had continued to message his strongest trait, empathy, instead of letting political industrial complex operatives talk him into protecting his legacy with hubris. Time is short…the light at the end of the tunnel gets brighter and louder by the day.
