Both AOC and Bernie are telling us that billionaires want to impoverish and kill us. Billionaires want Russell Vought, felon POTUS’s nomination for Director of the Office of Management and Budget, to help them steal our Social Security and Medicare that we paid in, as well as other life-saving public necessities.
Here’s what Bernie wrote in an email I received today:
Russell Vought is Donald Trump’s architect for the Oligarchy. As CBO Director, his goal will be to make the very rich even richer by dismantling critical government programs that deliver for America’s working class, like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Meals on Wheels, Head Start, and many others. Under Vought, those "savings" will then be used to provide huge tax breaks to Elon Musk and other billionaires.
I tried contacting my Ohio Senators through the switchboard, and when I couldn’t get through, I used Resist.bot. Here’s what I wrote:
Dear Senators Jon Husted and Bernie Moreno,
When you care for the American people, you want us to be protected from harm, to lead fulfilling lives, and to be treated fairly. That’s why we can trust that you care for us when you take your oath to defend our Constitution and when we send you to the Senate.
Russell Vought will help billionaires steal our money and kill us.
If the cruel billionaires on Donald Trump‘s team have their way, they will steal the money earmarked and paid in by 2 million Ohioans for Social Security and Medicare, et al. Many of us will die. None of us are free if we’re dead. I’m hoping that you’re not a part of this criminal endeavor, which is Russell Vought’s intention. I’m hoping that you will not betray us and help kill us.
None of us are safe from cruel billionaires.
I hope you empathize sufficiently with the two million Ohioans in your care to protect us from the billionaires who seek our harm. I hope you will take a stand and vote against Russell Vought’s nomination. I hope you will declare that this is not what you signed up for. You may think that Donald Trump has your back as a Senator. But former Secretary of State Pompeo probably thought the same thing until Elon Musk‘s puppet POTUS canceled his security detail, protecting him from Iranian assassination threats.
Families over billionaires.
I care about your family. I care about your families because you’re human beings. That’s the least we can do for one another: care for each other because we are part of the human race. And none of us deserve to be impoverished or killed. It’s time to stand up for all Ohioans and their parents and grandparents. Fulfilling your oath is a matter of life and death.
